Last hour on @yorkriverartmarket
The weather gods have been very kind on the first market of 2024. I’ve been sandwiched between the two talents of @lindaharveytextiles and @tonimayner in the sunniest spot. Thanks to everyone that’s bought from me today. Unfortunately my newest work was not ready for today but watch this space for it and availability from my website. I do have generous 50cm square brilliant reproductions of William the Bull so get in touch if interested. Market is on until 5pm
William the Bull is now at The Great Yorkshire Show
The epic Great Yorkshire Show, celebrating its 165th year is now on until Friday, and after a rainy first day it’s looking more promising for the rest of the week.
When you’re looking for your country attire, pop into the Clarkson’s of York concession stand along Eighth Avenue at plot 327 and see in the flesh my portrait of East Yorkshire farmer Colin Newlove and his famed bull William.
If you’re down there, try on the sports jacket exclusively available from Clarkson’s with the official tweed of @yorkshireagriculturalsociety and get a photograph with William. The exclusive weave features a very fetching yellow reminiscent of the painting, and flashes of blue and green, and can’t be seen anywhere else. Tag me in your photos
Tories finally gone
Micklegate Art Trail continues for its final week
Make your way from Plaskitt and Plaskitt to Amnesty bookshop, or the other way round between now and next Sunday (23rd June 2024). William the Bull remains at @blossomstyork gallery next to Micklegate Bar (Thursday to Sunday), and prints are now available on request. Over 50 artists are on display so look for the leaflets in windows and enquire within as there may be further delights inside (see e.g. @no84cafemicklegate )
